Hi!

So it’s my birthday next month, in the middle of June and I was thinking of doing a mini contest…like thing.

Basically I would like some art of my OC’s since I suck at drawing myself I was hoping some of you awesome artists could help by drawing them for me!

Like the title says, everyone will get some points, the amount of points you get will be determined by how much I like the picture and how well it fits the characters. The more effort you put into it the more likely you will get a lot of points! There will be no places, since I’m giving points to everyone. I just want lots of art of my OC’s  

I want these to be good quality - quality over quantity please. Please colour or at least shade it properly. I would prefer colour. Put some good effort into it. I don’t want anything that you just did quickly. I understand that everyone has their own style and skill level and I will keep that in mind but at least put a decent amount of effort into it please.

I have three main OC’s I’ll describe them first so you can get an idea, please don’t skip right to the pictures, some of them aren't accurate.

Ash

Ash is 17. He’s an Egyptian with brown skin and straight black hair a little past his shoulders which he normally wears down, with a middle parting. He has gold eyes (or brown if that’s too hard). He’s a prince so he dresses quite nice and formally.

He wears a gold band around his forehead to show his status somewhat similar to this: [link].

He’s got his left ear pierced and wears a gold earring with this symbol on it: [link]. It’s the same symbol on his headpiece.

Ariella

Ariella is Ash’s partner. She’s 16 years old and is also Egyptian. She has light brown skin and black hair. She has a birthmark in the shape of a lotus flower on the left hand side of her forehead, on the part with a dip just before you get to the hair – I can’t remember what it’s called. She has very long, curly (soft curls) hair down to around her knees. Half of her hair is held up in a bun, held together with hair sticks and the rest of the hair is left down. The hair sticks have rubies hanging off them. She wears a classical Egyptian necklace, with is gold and red. Red gems (rubies again) the rest is gold.

Ariella is a dancer, so if you could incorporate that, it would be so amazing. She wears a red scarf thing (I still haven’t figured out what to call it…) it’s the mark of a dancer. She wears hers tied around her waist but without a bow, just double knotted and left to hang. She’s a very elegant person so nothing that wouldn't fit into that description please, think a typical “Yamato Nedeshiko” ([link] - except not Japanese, but that’s her basic personality.)

Kotori

Kotori is a mix between many different breeds of birds. Visually she is a cross between a lorikeet and a budgie. Lorikeet body and budgie markings. Her wings have been replaced by artificial wings in order to help her survive with the current environment (more details on that below). She’s light blue and quite small in size, more budgie than lorikeet size wise. The framework in her wings is gold in colour. Please if you try and draw her, keep her realistic and keep all the details. If you feel you can’t I would prefer you to draw one of my other OC’s.

More details:

All three of these characters are from my book so if you can have them interacting that would be awesome. It’s a post-apocalyptic world so no bright colours or scenery unless they’re indoors or something. The environment is destroyed and there is very little fauna / flora seen.  

Please keep the details as much as possible, although new outfits are welcome, keep it fitting to the world they live in and their personalities. I also need to be able to recognize them as my characters. An Egyptian theme would be cool but be creative; pyramids are awesome but overused XD

Also i would prefer realistic or semi-realistic but it's not necessary. 

If you think you can’t keep all of the details for the other OC's I would prefer you to just draw Ash. I’m a lot less protective and concerned with details with him, so if you’re not good with details – go with him!

PLEASE KEEP IT G RATED!! Nothing inappropriate. Or PG I suppose but still please respect my characters. 

Things I am looking for:

• How well the picture portrays the characters
• Amount of effort put into it, so that involves things like backgrounds colouring etc
• Creativity

Bonus points: 

• I'm haven't had time to design formal outfits for Ash or Ariella so if you're good at that - go for it! Try and incorporate an Egyptian theme into it though. For Ariella keep it modest. 
• If you could draw a scene from the story (you might need to ask me about it if i don't know you well I wouldn't have said anything about the story to you) I will love you forever
